Where next?

Q. Where can my skip be placed?

A. Your skip can be placed on private property providing that the driver is able to safely deliver the skip and pick it up. Once it is delivered however, you are not permitted to move it. Alternatively, you are also allowed to place your skip on public land (road, pathway), but you will need to obtain a permit from your local authority.

Q. How do I get a permit?

A. For those that require a permit for placing your skip on a public land. There are some councils that require you to apply directly, where others sometimes require your skip provider to apply on your behalf. For further help, please call our team.

Q. How full can the skip be?

A. Here at RRR Skip Hire we take health and safety very seriously. That's why we inform all our customers that they cannot over-fill their skip. So you must keep it below the top of the sides in order for us to accept it.

Q. What are the different skip types?

A. There are 2 types of skips that exist, covered and open. Open is the most common skip used and is likely what you will see on a public road or driveway. However covered skips offer protection from weather.

Q. What can I put in the skip?

A. You are allowed to place non-hazardous waste (household items, green waste, debris ect...) in your skip. However, you will need containers or a special permit if you are considering removal of hazardous waste.

Q. What size skip will I need?

A. The quantity and size of the waste you will be removing heavily affects which skip size you require. To find out which skip size you will need please call our friendly team on 07828 892001 who will help guide you in the right direction. Alternatively, please feel free to use our online contact form..

Q. How much to hire a skip?

A. Skip hire prices are calculated using the size of the skip, type and the location. You may also need to obtain a permit if placing your skip on a public road or pathway. If you would like to quickly find out your skip hire cost, call our team or send us a message via our online contact form.
